Instituted 26 December 1812 by Grand Duke Karl Friedrich. (1866 1918 issue). Constructed of silver with gilt multi coloured enamels, consisting of a narrow Cross Patte with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse with green enameled arms, bearing a central white enameled medallion overlaid by a detailed and hand painted depiction of Zhringen Castle, within a ribbed and
