We work in microns (0. 010 0. 001mm) when making a significant part of our reels. All our backplates have been hard anodized to defense grade (Def Stan 03 26). All Black & Grey Spools our also hard anodized. The vibrant colored spools have been type II anodized. Having your reel scratch resistant is a definite
