Canada, Commonwealth. A Second War Memorial Cross to Sgt. Connell Newly Listed LEGISLADORIn silver, full size, GVR cypher on obverse, reverse engraved SGT. S. J. CONNELL R75835, marked STERLING on the reverse, dark patina, very fine. Footnote: Stanley Jerome Connell served in the RCAF during the Second War. He died on October 26, 1941. Surplus First War Memorial Crosses were often used during the Second War.
