Following the collapse of the Reich Skorzeny was held as a POW for more than two years to be tried as a war criminal at the Dachau Trials in 1947 for violating the laws of war during the Battle of the Bulge for improper use of American uniforms

Footnote: St. Bridget of Sweden founded the monastic order, the Order of the Most Holy Saviour, in the fourteenth century.
