Instituted 26 January 1942 by Korpsfhrer General Friedrich Christiansen. (1942 1945). Constructed of silvered magnetic iron with enamels, the obverse consisting of a finely detailed circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a National Socialist Flyers Corps (NSFK) insignia in the form of Icarus, overlaid by a mobile swastika and topped by a banner bearing an inscription of NSFK, with the wreath
