It refers to a group of bands that play fast, chaotic, and extremely aggressive punk influenced hardcore and have been doing so for decades now. The name Burning Spirits comes from the annual Japanese tour that began in 1988. In 1997, the tour featured the post Death Side band Forward, with stints from Nightmare and Judgement.
