In silver, with name officially impressed along the rim J. Smitzer, Canadn Militia, on period ribbon with a Fort Detroit clasp, about very fine with rim nicks, several contact marks and bruises. (Appears on Medal Rolls as "Smilzer") Footnote: Private John Smitzer of the 3rd York Unit, Fort Detroit was named on the roll of Canadian Recipients of the Military General Service Medal. The conflict at Fort Detroit was an
