A French Made Serbian Medal For Zeal; Gold Grade GTRexclude The cosmopolitan character of theGold' grade of medal for Zeal, struck in gilded bronze, 32 mm, mounted on red ribbon. Awarded to officers of combat units for exemplary service. First type of this medal, introduced in 1913 during The Balkan Wars. Design was subsequently changed in favour of larger medal with altered design (#S98). Unmarked, but very likely manufactured by French maker Bertrand. Good quality, and in better than very fine condition. Scarce.
