They released their third album, Wowee Zowee, with longtime label Matador. They had already played on late night TV, been featured in Rolling Stone magazine, and adored by a legion of slacker fans across the globe. While the last half of the 1990s proved to be a difficult era for the band, with inner turmoil eventually leading to a breakup in 1999, 1995 was still peaceful and productive.
