Saxe-Ernestine, Duchy. A Saxe-Ernestine House Order, Grand Cross Star With Swords, C. 1870 Hold a Royal Canadian Air Force(Sachsen Ernestinischer Hausorden). Instituted on 25 December 1833. (2nd Model, issued 1864 1935). An eight rayed silver breast star; the vertical and horizontal arms are gilded while the diagonal arms are silver, riveted to the star is a white enameled eight pointed, four armed Maltese cross, bordered with wide, golden edges and tipped with golden finials, gilded swords cross between the arms, at the center is a large, round medallion, at the center
