Footnote: Kraus was a Sudeten born Panzer Grenadier and veteran of the Eastern Front. He was born January 22, 1924 in Schwarzenbach, in the region of Eger which was formerly part of Czechoslovakia. He was the graduate of a Brgerschule, a sort of state institution that prepares students for trade and labour. He also made note that he
