Chambered Nautiloid Sculpture | Orthoceras Fossil Home Decor Gift Science and nature puzzles kits and games Scan the QR code toThis Chambered Nautiloid Sculpture is a genuine fossil specimen, carved and polished from an orthocone nautiloid commonly known as Orthoceras. Nautiloids lived around 380 million years ago in the Devonian seas. This specimen was collected from the Tindouf Basin in Morocco. Orthoceras were cephalopods, the ancient relatives of today's nautilus, squid, cuttlefish and octopus. They moved through Palaeozoic oceans inside a long straight shell divided into
