The leaflet was issued by the administration of Fliegerhorstkommandantur (airbase command) Memmingen on December 13, 1941 in place of the local bank of Memmingen. It states that drastically cutting costs (Eisern sparen!) is imperative for every German as part of the war effort. Anything that is not vital should not be purchased until after the war.
