Germany, Imperial. A Warrior Merit Medal, I Class, C.1900 Buy Now Van Deventer began his northward(Krieger Verdienstmedaille I. Klasse). Instituted 1835 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1873 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse with a wreathed inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), the reverse with a monogram of Kaiser Wilhelm I, unmarked, measuring 24. 94 mm in diameter, weighing 9. 1 grams (inclusive of ribbon), in near extremely fine condition.
