A rare decoration, in silver gilt and black enamels, featuring a large surmounting crown, reverse plain, measures 35 mm (w) x 58. 8 mm (h), marked on the ring with a VM denoting Vincent Mayer, and standard silver assay mark denoting . 950 silver between 1872 1922, weighs 18. 5 grams, worn on period trifold ribbon, enamels intact, extremely fine.
